Our quest for beauty and bliss has turned into another extraordinary object : Richard Hutten has designed this one-of-a-kind Layers Cloud Chair based on an earlier design The Cloud Chair.
Each layer of the chair was drawn separately. The color of each layer of the chair was carefully selected and cut one by one and manually applied layer for layer. Almost 100 colors were used. Resulting in a chair of which only one is and will be made.
“The Layers Cloud Chair was inspired by the Painted Desert in Arizona,’ Hutten explains. ‘I wanted the design to be about colors and tactility. As a child I dreamed about laying on a cloud” he continues, ” and on this chair I finally can”.
