Located on a large open plain stretching towards the Shire River in Liwonde National Park, you will find Kuthengo Camp nestled among Fever trees and Baobabs. With resident fish eagles nesting in these Baobabs, you will be woken to ‘Africa’s voice’ calling as you rise in this wild and natural paradise. Our four spacious and modern safari tents are all en-suite, each with a bathtub and an outdoor shower. Cool off in our plunge pool in the hotter months and enjoy the view from there.

Accommodation & Facilities
Kuthengo has four spacious and modern safari tents which are all en-suite, each with a bathtub and an outdoor shower. The eco-friendly evening breeze air conditioning (state of the art and environment friendly cooling system for the bed within the mosquito net), adds to the comforts of this intimate camp. With all the usual comforts of a Robin Pope Safari camp, Kuthengo maintains a rustic charm, complemented by stunning views which are best appreciated from your private deck with a cold sundowner in hand, admiring the herds of waterbuck that frequent the camp area, milling about in the evening glow.

Game drives
– An option of day or night drives
– Game viewing vehicles with two tier seats (three tier for groups / families) are used — a “window” seat (i.e., two people per row) for everyone.
– Open top vehicles, affording you total 360 degree vision.

The walks are led by our knowledgeable guides, and escorted by an armed National Park scout.
Our guiding team is very passionate and will certainly impart some amazing bush insights at a level that will surprise you.
