Far from having disappeared from the radars, the Covid-19 virus is still making headlines, while the vacation season and large-scale migration mean that the flow of millions of people travelling will increase the risk of the epidemic returning.
But there is no reason to panic because we have learned to live with the virus. Vaccinated or not, we know that we will have to respect the habit that has produced excellent results: social distancing. And in order not to sacrifice our freedom, we are ready to wear the mask, to respect safety distances, to clean our hands as often as necessary.
Hamaji Magazine has been exploring the African continent for almost 10 years now. Issue after issue, we renew our privileged rendezvous with you, more than ever convinced that “the heart” of everything is indeed on this old continent which is constantly reinventing itself despite a rather agitated world context.
In this new issue, we invite you to discover the Sapi Private Game Reserve in Zimbabwe on the Tembo plains. Built on the banks of the Zambezi River, this very exclusive camp, the only Relais & Châteaux property in Zimbabwe, is focusing all its efforts on conservation. For the many wilderness camping enthusiasts around the world, Hamaji Magazine went to report on one of the most beautiful national parks in the DRC: Kundelungu National Park. In October 2022, Lubumbashi, DRC will host the 7th edition of the Picha Art Biennale, which is making a comeback after two difficult years for art and culture, an industry also marked by the global pandemic crisis.
Our team in the DRC and elsewhere in the world is concerned with giving this editorial project more meaning, more magnitude whatever the challenges, and they are many in these times. Thank you for reading us, thank you for following us on social media.
